Day 79 of 365

Starting out as another cold cold morning.  Normally I would have already woken the princess, but this morning I am trying to let her sleep a few more minutes as we got home very late last night.  Hopefully she will wake well rested and ready to tackle the day.    As for me, I didn't sleep nearly long enough, but I will put a smile on my face and prepare to embrace the day with a happy heart and enjoy all it has to offer.

Just paused to wake the princess and prepare her lunch.  She is currently cleansing her body and trying to wake!

I am feeling so much better than I was last week.  My head is a little clogged but I have my suspicions that this is as much because of allergies as a cold.  My poor honey just kept coughing last night.  It was the kind of cough that makes everyone else's chest hurt when they hear it.  Hoping he is feeling much better this morning.

Today is weekly home blessing day and since I have already counted my home in my quest to count at least one blessing a day, today I think I will count Flylady as my blessing.  She helped me to have a new outlook on our home almost a year ago.  I jumped in full force and had a mini burn out when my knees started giving me heck, but I am committed to jumping back in where they are and getting things done.

I am hoping to be able to write a little more later today as I have some things swimming around in my head, but for now, it's time to get the day rolling and get everyone to their appointed duties!  Take care of you for me :)

  1. I like the idea of posting something every day for a year. I want to write some more unit studies. Perhaps I should write a chapter a day. You have inspired me.

  2. I had it on my bucket list and decided that there are many things on there that I cannot do right away, but this is one that I can. Some days it may only be one line, others a few paragraphs, but at least I am writing something every single day!

  3. I'm so glad you linked this! I'd wondered where you'd gone.

One of the things on my to-do list is to fill another handwritten journal. The things I write for myself in the privacy of my own journal are different than those I write on a blog, and I've felt saddened by the fact I've written maybe only a couple dozen entries in the last year.

Going through and reading all my journals for references to my mom really reminded me how important it is to capture those beautiful moments. If nothing else, I'm going to try writing every few days to capture memories of David that'll otherwise be lost to the shuffle. There's just so much that's new and wonderful every day!

  4. I just needed some place fresh to begin again. It's been a nice project to work on every day, even though some entries are minimal. It makes me accountable to something and I like that. Keeps me on track :)

David will love looking back at your reactions to his growing with such fondness. I miss the kids being so small. I see babies and want to instantly pick them up, have to hold back!
