Day 64 of 365

Having a great day! Spent the morning chatting with my p. I sure miss you, p! Then hopped in the shower with my honey so we could do our regular Sunday morning routine of breakfast at Sister's. They always have good food and the owner is super nice. We enjoyed chatting with him over breakfast. Came home and picked up a little before we headed out the door. We just stopped in Gatesville and I opened up my first personal checking account in 11 years. Felt strange lol. Now we are on our way to Valera to pick up my angel girl. I love her and miss her so much!

Today, the blessing I shall count is the ability to drive again. Lord knows I missed it a few years ago when I couldn't drive for almost a year.

Day 62 of 365

Today the blessing that I am most thankful for is my daddy. I am blessed to still have him in my life. I am blessed to be able to spend time with him playing spades even though he is 900 miles away. There are times when I grumble because he calls when I have my hands full, or maybe my house doesn't get cleaned like it should because I have taken time out for him. SHAME ON ME! My house will still be here and the laundry will still be around long after he is gone. Today I am reminding myself to cherish every single moment of time that I get with him. Too often in life we don't stop to think of the time we are missing until it is too late. Today, I am reminding myself to slow down and change my attitude. Thank you, God, for my daddy.

Day 61 of 365

Today I am blessed to have an amazing man in my life. Jim knows everything there is to know about me and loves me, faults and all. He works so hard to provide a good life and home for us and our children. Thank you, God, for blessing me with this wonderful man.

Day 60 of 365

I think something I need to do is to remember, at least one time a day, to count my blessings. Today the blessing I will focus on is my beautiful daughter. I was blessed with her in my life 11 years ago after going through a very tough pregnancy. Everyday she enriches my life in a way that I can't really find words to describe. I just know that I am a much better person for knowing her and having the pleasure of being her mother.

She isn't feeling well today so she is staying home. I get to do more mothering. Thank you, God!

It's the little things...

Okay, so it's the little things in life that I do, and should, cherish the most. I made a fabulous lunch today with penne, homemade sauce and this yummy four cheese Italian sausage cut up in it. It rocked! As homemade sauce always does though, it made a mess on the stove. After we were done eating, I cleaned my kitchen and did the dishes. As I was cleaning the stove, I found myself SMILING! I don't mean a slight upturn of the lips, I mean genuinely bursting with happiness and glowing smile! It was wonderful! Imagine, being thrilled at cleaning the stove. Never in my life has this happened to me. When I caught myself, I thought "hmm what the heck?" then I looked around. I was feeling truly blessed and thankful for my surroundings. For the first time in my life, I have enough counter space to leave out all of my small appliances! I never imagined that happening. I have a wonderful man in my life that loves me with every fiber of his being and who appreciates me for who I am. I have 3 beautiful thriving kids that, although they aren't with me, provide me countless amounts of joy and I can't wait to see them again. I have friends that care enough to tell me that they have never seen me glow so much, and I know they mean it. I have a wonderful best friend that just last week sent me a great "thinking of you" package that brightened may day even more. I am blessed far more than I deserve, but I will take it anyway and try with all my soul to never take my life for granted ever again!
